Before you start
- Your store is online and a few customers have already ordered.
The CRM Customers screen brings your whole customer base together in one place. You see who buys, who comes back, who's new — and you can reach out to a customer or create an order for them in seconds. It's the heart of your customer relationship.
What you'll learn
- Read the key metrics of your customer base.
- Search and filter your customers.
- View a customer's profile and activity, and take action.
Step by step
Step 1 — Understand your customer base
In the left-hand menu, open Sales & CRM then Customers. At the top, four metrics (marker ①) summarize your base: Total customers, Active (at least one order), New this month and Returning (more than one order). Each also acts as a filter.
The search (marker ②) finds a customer by name, email or phone, and the Country menu filters by area. For each customer, the Activity block (marker ③) shows the number of orders, total spent, average basket and last order date.
Step 2 — Open a customer profile and take action
Each row shows the customer profile (marker ①): name, phone, email and city. Two actions sit on the right: Orders (marker ②) opens their purchase history, and New order (marker ③) creates an order on their behalf — perfect for taking an order over the phone.
Expected result
You have a clear view of your customer base: how many customers, which are loyal, how much they spend. You can find any customer instantly, view their history and reach out or order for them.
Expert tips
- Cherish your returning customers. Keeping a repeat customer costs less than winning a new one.
- Wake up the inactive ones. Spot those whose last order is old and follow up.
- Use the average basket. It reveals your best customers and guides your offers.
- Fill in contact details. Complete phone and email make follow-up and outreach easy.
Common mistakes
| Mistake | Why it's a problem | The fix |
|---|---|---|
| Ignoring returning customers | You miss your most reliable revenue. | Filter on "Returning" and take care of them. |
| Never following up inactive ones | Acquired customers slip away silently. | Spot old last-orders and reach out. |
| Incomplete customer profiles | You can't contact or segment. | Fill in phone, email and city. |
| Re-typing an order from scratch | Wasted time on the phone. | Use "New order" from the customer profile. |
