Before you start

  • Your store is created and you are logged in to your admin area.

Your store's details — its name, logo and contact info — form the first impression you give your customers. It's the very first step of your launch. It takes 3 minutes, with no technical skills.

What you'll learn

  • Set your store's name, logo and description.
  • Add your contact details (opening hours, phone).
  • Confirm that your store is online.

Step by step

Step 1 — Fill in your store's identity

From the Dashboard, click Settings (or open Store(s)) to reach "Edit my store". A 5-step wizard appears: start with Details.

Enter your store name (marker ①) — the one your customers will see. Add a logo (marker ②): a clean, square image on a neutral background. Finally, fill in your contact details — opening hours and phone (marker ③) — and a short description of your business.

Why? A clear name, a polished logo and up-to-date contact details reassure your customers and boost your credibility at first glance.

① The name, ② the logo, ③ your store's contact details.
lightbulbTip. No need to fill everything at once: your changes are saved automatically. You can come back later to complete the address, social links or SEO.

Step 2 — Confirm you're live

Move to the wizard's last step, "Go live". A green banner confirms "Your store is online" (marker ①): it's accessible to your customers, and a "View store" button lets you visit it.

Below, you can connect your own domain name (marker ②) for a more professional address — this is optional: your SimWebShop address already works.

Why? This step confirms your store is visible. A custom domain then strengthens your brand image.

① The confirmation that your store is online; ② the custom domain option.
warningHeads up. If the banner says some steps remain, add at least one category and one product: those are the conditions for your store to go online.

Expected result

Your store's identity is complete: name, logo, contact details and description. The banner confirms it's online and accessible to your customers. You can share it using the "Copy link" button.

Expert tips

  • Choose a clear name. Short, memorable, true to your business.
  • A clean logo. Square, on a neutral background: it shows everywhere (header, browser tab, social).
  • Up-to-date contact details. Hours and phone reassure customers and make contact easy.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I change my store name?

From the dashboard, click Settings (or Store(s)) then, on the Details step, edit the "Store name" field. The change is saved automatically.

What logo format should I use?

A square, clean image on a neutral background gives the best result. It will show in your store's header and next to its name.

Do I have to fill everything before continuing?

No. The name is enough to get started; address, social links and SEO are recommended but optional. Your changes are saved automatically, so you can come back later.

Do I need a domain name?

No, it's optional. Your store already has a working SimWebShop address. A custom domain (e.g. your-brand.com) simply strengthens your professional image.

How do I know my store is online?

On the Go live step, a green "Your store is online" banner confirms it. The dashboard also shows the "Online" status.
