Before you start

  • Your store is created and you are logged in to your admin area.

The theme defines your store's look: colors, layout, style. Changing it transforms your whole site in one click, without touching your products.

What you'll learn

  • Browse the available themes.
  • Preview a theme before applying it.
  • Activate a new theme and publish it.

Step by step

Step 1 — Open the theme gallery

In the left-hand menu, open Appearance then Themes / Studio. Click “Full catalog” to see all available themes. Each theme shows as a card with an “Activate” button (marker ①).

The theme currently live is marked “Active” and framed (marker ②).

Why? You see all available designs at a glance, and which one is currently applied.

①② Each theme has an “Activate” button; the active theme is marked.
lightbulbTip. Themes marked “E-commerce certified” are optimized for selling: prefer them for a store.

Step 2 — Preview, then publish

From the Studio, use the Live preview to see the theme on Desktop / Tablet / Mobile (marker ④) before deciding. When you're happy, click “Publish” (marker ③) to apply it to your online store.

Why? The preview shows exactly what your customers will see — including on mobile, where most purchases happen — before anything goes live.

③④ Preview on every screen, then “Publish”.
warningHeads up. Until you click “Publish”, your changes stay a draft and your customers still see the old theme.

Expected result

The new theme turns “Active” and applies immediately to your online store. Your products, categories and content are kept: only the look changes. Click “View site” to admire the result.

Expert tips

  • Test on mobile. Most of your visitors buy from their phone: check the Mobile preview.
  • Change without fear. The theme only affects appearance; your products and orders stay intact.
  • Choose for your universe. A clean theme for luxury, colorful for kids, appetizing for food.
  • Customize afterward. Once the theme is chosen, tweak colors and logo (see “Customize your theme”).

Frequently asked questions

Does changing the theme delete my products?

No. The theme only affects appearance. Your products, categories, orders and customers are fully kept.

Can I revert to the old theme?

Yes, anytime: go back to the gallery, reactivate the previous theme, then publish. The change is reversible.

What does “E-commerce certified” mean?

It's a theme validated for online selling (product page, cart, checkout optimized). Ideal for a store, as opposed to a purely showcase theme.

Can I try a theme without applying it?

Yes. Use the Studio's Live preview to see the result without publishing. Your customers see nothing until you click “Publish”.

Is the change immediate?

Yes, as soon as you click “Publish”. Your visitors see the new theme on their next page load.

How do I change the theme's colors or logo?

From the Studio, the Customization panel (colors, presets…). See the guide “Customize your theme”.
